Jarrod Horner has put together back to back victories to shoot to an early lead on the 2010 Open Championship.
Horner killed it in the February pointscore, and was again on fire to claim first place in the final of the March event, held in relatively good wave conditions.
The elder Horner son beat off strong challenges from Matt Mulder, Matt Cook, Drew Kelly, Mitchell Hodges and defending champion Jack Irvin.
The Open title competition is already red-hot and is bound to go white-hot over the coming months.
Tyler Barnes returned to his solid form to claim the Junior final from Reece Moffat, Nathan Hatheier and reigning champ Jacob Boylan.
Moffat is on top of the leader board in this division.
The Super Groms shoot-out was exciting from start to finish, with 2009 champion Ben Boylan getting top points.
Benny Boy just edged out Eathan Jackson, Dion Earle, Nathan Martin, Spencer Barnes and Shannon Hatheier.
The March event was a special because of the special guest appearance of former world pro champion Peter Townend, fresh off the plane from California.
PT showed glimpses of his pro tour brilliance in winning his heat. He was stoked to compete and to receive a presentation of Shoes board shorts and Shoes Hoodie.
The other feature of the event was the turn-out of several new members, in the Open and Super Grom divisions.
