Club SuperGrom champion, Jarvis Earle, put on a masterful set of displays to win the Skullcandy Oz Grom Title at Lennox Head this week.
The pint-sized wave assassin claimed the Under 14s championship, defeating redhot Avoca surfer Lennox Chell in a thrilling final that saw the lead change three times.
Jarvis, with the same full-on performance levels we know so well on the Reef that Rules, forged ahead in the final minute with a gung ho set of slashing turns and cutbacks to clinch the crown with a two-wave score of 15.64.
The victory gave Cronulla its only trophy of the tournament and has put Jarvis in the running for the national title.
The premier six-day event ran from July 7 – July 12th 2017 and crowned champions across 12, 14 and 16 age divisions.
In a similar vein to preceding years – where the event has attracted surfers from ten different countries – a full international field competed in 2017 with surfers coming from as far away as Europe, USA and Japan to make up a field of more than 170 surfers.
All event divisions were broadcast live on skullcandyozgromopen.com.au.
The Skullcandy Oz Grom Open presented by Vissla is proudly supported by Skullcandy, Vissla, Ballina Shire Council, Le-Ba Boardriders and Surfing NSW.
