With the festive season on it’s last legs (sadly), it’s time to get serious about that other magnificent time warp – the Shoes Reef.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, season 2012 is on our doorstep.
Once more dear friends, into the breach! A veritable smorgasbord of competitive wave shredding, friendly banter, nasty sea egg wounds, Leo Payne sausages, Mark Campbell drop-ins, Stevo nose rides, blood letting competition for the three world title categories, Sponsors who care, patron saint John Murray, grommet fireworks…and much more.
Who will be good enough to take the crowns from Jarrod Horner, Reece Moffat and Dion Earle?
Now down to business:
1. AGM – Saturday 21 January, Cronulla South Bowling Club, 4pm
All members welcomed to discuss and vote on fees, contest rules, accounts, contest calendar, voting on Committee and Executive and General Business.
2. First contest – 4-5 February
7am wave check. Contest start at 7.30am.
If no waves, then alternative weekend 25-26 Feb.
Shoes is an open house club. Please feel free to invite friends and family members to join the club and compete.
We want more women and girls members. And more grommets!

im 52 and live i newquay cornwall. lucky to have travelled surfing for 40 years. when i was in cronulla iworked at taren point engineering. worked with matt shoes local ended up surfing severn bore with him years later. hope hes ok . have good surf and great year southside boys!
