Sizeable waves saw competitors go for it in the October world title contest.
There were big manoeuvres all over the shop, as well as some heavy duty wipe-outs.
Blake Sawtell added to his chances of taking out the Open Championship with a barnstorming performance on the Reef that Rules.
Not far behind him in a go for it final were Reece Moffat and Nathan W.
In the Juniors battle royale, Charlie Chegwidden was at his very best to claim the No 1 spot.
Not far behind him were Sam Cornock, Luca Durante and Zai Brown.
The Masters showdown was a humdinger with the Knights of old turning on the fireworks in a take no prisoners encounter.
Brett Daintry was on fire to take the No 1 slot and improve his points tally for the overall Masters championship.
John Bonello grabbed second place, Marty Shipley third and Robin Moore fourth.
It was bad news for Critta Durante, with him hitting the reef part way through his heat and slicing his head open. The wound took eight stitches!
So now it’s onto the last showdown of the year – 3-4 November, or the back-up 10-11.
Don’t forget that the Awards Presentation is scheduled for Saturday 1 December on the grass behind the Shoes Pavilion. Lunch will be served and the Club’s new T-shirts will be distributed free to all paid-up members.
