The fun of a Federal Election definitely means there will be enough hot air about to blow up a giant swell.
Every member – from Seniors to Groms – can confidently cast their vote for a wealth of wave action. After all, the results of this and follow-on events will determine just who runs the country. Just who are the new global champs.
Forget Rudd, Abbott and Milne; they’re just side players. The real leaders of the nation are those surfers turning out for the respective Open, Juniors and Super Groms showdowns.
So see you all ready to rock and roll on 7-8 September.
And if the election on that weekend just creates so much blah, blah, blah that the ocean decides to stay away, then be ready to go harder on 21-22 September.
Remember, we don’t need a ballot to tell us who reigns supreme.
